Very pleasant Chardonnay from Australia at a really good price. Generously dry yet soft & fragrant with a good balance of acidity & flavour. Soft long after-taste. Fantastic everyday drinking. The nose is dominated by a mix of lemon, smoke, marzipan, and clove, but more fruit emerges on the palate, including some tropical touches. Very clean and elegant, this medium-bodied Chardonnay has food-friendly acidity and weight...
The nose exudes a complex aroma of ripe black fruits, tobacco, menthol, tar, earth, eucalyptus, and band-aid. In the mouth it is meaty – in weight, texture, and flavor. It has a smoked meat element, along with dried or cooked fruit (prune?), black cassis, tobacco leaf, and blackberry. Tannins are bold, acidity is medium. There is a bit of expected hotness in the tail end of the finish – but that’s what you get with a wine of this ripeness. Finishes bone dry with dried black fruit and spice flavors lingering. Tasty on its own if you like bold wines, better when matched with protein – burgers, cheese, roasted meats.
Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. The nose is perfumed – top note of violet, blackberry, vanilla and spice with a touch of earth and liquorice over a black pepper background. Fine dry, balanced tannins. Aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and spice all in balance with the alcohol..

GR has evolved over time to be one of the Barossa's salient Shiraz wines. It is not every year that a GR is made. Parcels of the most splendid fruit from distinguished sites are treated to a separate vinification. Each vintage the red wines is assessed and a decision is made to determine if there is a parcel of GR quality. A formidable, full bodied classic red wine with an enormous palate, complex engaging aromas and undeniable ageing potential. Fewer than 5,000 are bottled
